Our Teachers
The teachers at ELC are completely dedicated to the care, education, and nurturing of young and tiny people. We continually encourage and develop our great teachers to be better and better with a myriad of techniques and development options. Our teachers are licensed in safety techniques as well as how to keep your child engaged throughout the day…not an easy task as any new parent can tell you!
Security and Safety
When you leave your children with us, we take their safety very seriously. We implement several steps to ensure your child’s safety:
All exterior doors are locked so that only people with the key can enter the building.
We do fire drills once a month so that your child knows where to go in an emergency.
We have the fire department visit to conduct fire inspections as well as check life safety equipment.
We conduct safety drills for intruders. Although this has never happened at our center, we must be prepared.
Cameras are placed in strategic places to further ensure the safety of the children.
Pickup and dropoff is maintained with the use of a sign-in clipboard so each teacher knows who is in the classroom.
Allergy Awareness
Children can be allergic to all sorts of things, and the consequences can be serious. That is why at ELC we are extremely Allergy-Aware and take allergies very seriously. We want you to feel comfortable talking to us about any allergen you may be concerned with. We can tailor specific diets to avoid anything that may contain an allergen. We have several layers of protection to ensure allergies are not a problem. Do not hesitate to bring this to our attention.
When you tour our facility, you will meet many of the staff. Their personalities are unique and we invite you to speak with them. Ask them why they are in the field, what they like about teaching, and what curriculum they focus on with their children in their classes.
